Osco! becomes a 2 star certified Green Restaurant®

The first certified Green Restaurant® in Quebec

MONTREAL, August 8, 2012 – Osco!, the InterContinental Montréal’s French brasserie, was recently certified as a 2 star Green Restaurant® by the Green Restaurant Association (GRA), a national non-profit organization that assists restaurants to become more environmentally sustainable. Receiving 120.34 GreenPoints™ on the GRA’s rigorous certification scale and having implemented 44 steps, Osco! Restaurant has gone 20.34% above and beyond the minimum requirements necessary for certification. «We are extremely proud of this certification as this is a token of our commitment to operate our hotel in a sustainable way and reduce our environmental footprint over the next months and years» expressed Mr. Bernard Chênevert, General Manager of the InterContinental Montreal.

The efforts made by Matthieu Saunier, Executive Chef, and his team with regards to the recycling program, the energy efficient lighting, the pre-rinse spray valves and faucet aerators, as well as the vegetarian and vegan purchases were all determinant factors in the certification obtained by Osco!
